A Virginia brewery recently unveiled its cereal-themed beer, and now, it's being resold for big bucks.

On Saturday, Smartmouth Brewery revealed its "Saturday Morning" beer. The company said it sold out of the Lucky Charms flavored drink within an hour and a half.

“I think the first people got here at 7 a.m.,” said Porter Hardy, President of Smartmouth Brewing Co. “They sold as fast as we could ring people up.”

Smartmouth said the beverage was made with pounds of marshmallows.

They sent out a press release that read: “Join us as we flashback to those Saturday Mornings when you rolled out of bed and were lazy all morning watching your favorite cartoons and playing video or board games. We'll celebrate those mornings with the release of Saturday Morning IPA that is made with pounds of marshmallows, some of which we toasted, along with tropical fruity Calypso hops. The result is magically ridiculous!”

According to Hardy, people drove from several surrounding states to get the limited-edition beer that made national headlines on late night talk shows.

He said while the response was overwhelming, it was welcome.

“There was a little part of terror in there because it was so unexpected," he said.

CBS affiliate WTKR reported finding posts on Monday with people reselling the beverage at high prices. One post had four cans of the beer listed for $450, while another person had a listing for an empty can for $5.

“I wish that the money would go back to Smartmouth,” said Norfolk resident Macnair Jennings.

"Had we known it would have gone viral, we certainly would have made a lot more! Thanks for understanding the nature of a small craft brewery," the company said on Facebook.
