Serving up a whimsical nod to Peter Pan with his uplifting new single is alt-pop artist Alt Bloom with “Fly Away”. Soaring through the acoustic-filled production, the singer easily infuses a dreamlike melody with free-spirited lyrics, creating a hazy yet soothing soundscape. Leaning into his genre-bending sound, the singer subtly switches things up for his latest single, slightly straying away from his slick R&B productions from on previous single “Tired”.

Speaking on the track, Bloom states, “Each line was a reflection on something in my life. It sings down like a fable to me now, and I derive different truths from it whenever I perform it.”

And the sweeping music video is filmed in his hometown of Whitefish, Montana, and packed full of the area’s cinematic jagged peaks, lakes and glacier-curved valleys. Featuring some of his closest friends and family, it captures everything most of us are longing for right now: an appreciation of nature, hitting the road with friends, and those small moments in life – spent away from a screen – that take your breath away.

Since the release of his debut EP “Astronaut Complex” last year, the singer has racked in over 36 million streams for his ability to take his own memories and emotions, and transform them into breathtaking productions. Stepping back from social media and connecting with fans over the past year to focus on music, Bloom has been readily preparing for this new chapter, and he’s finally ready to give it to us.
