Kid Rock shares shocking insider account of Trump’s rock ‘n’ roll foreign policy

.

Famously unconventional former President Donald Trump asked Kid Rock what he should tweet about crushing the Islamic State group’s caliphate, the rock star recalled during a new interview.

The artist told Fox News host Tucker Carlson about how a surreal meeting he had with a sitting president had him questioning whether he should have been shown certain maps and if he was qualified to advise a commander in chief on high-stakes national security matters such as dealing with North Korea.

“I was there with him one day when he ended the caliphate,” Kid Rock said in the interview that aired Monday evening.

The musician, who noted in a quick aside that he did not “want to speak out of school,” said Trump wanted to put out a tweet and suggested something along the lines of “you’re going to be dead” for joining the caliphate.

“He goes, ‘What do you think?’ And I go, ‘Awesome,'” Kid Rock said, flashing a thumbs-up. The tweet that was actually sent out was reworded and more “politically correct,” Kid Rock clarified.

Kid Rock also said they were looking at maps that he questioned were appropriate to show someone like him. “I’m like, ‘Am I supposed to be in on [this] ****?'” Kid Rock quipped before he and Carlson burst into laughter.

North Korea was apparently a subject of conversation too.

“‘What do you think we should do about North Korea?'” he said, appearing to recall a question Trump asked of him. “I’m like,” Kid Rock continued before guffawing into his hand, “What? I don’t think I’m qualified to answer this.” More laughter ensued.

The singer-songwriter said he and Trump first met at the White House as a dinner guest invitee of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Kick Rock said he and Trump hit it off and have since become golfing buddies.

He observed that Trump “doesn’t take it too seriously,” is “engaging,” and is “just cutting it up and just open with politics.”
