HOUSTON – No. 20 UHV rolled to its 11th straight win on Tuesday after sweeping NCAA Division I Texas Southern.

The Jaguars used a three-run sixth to claim a 3-1 win in the opener and then finished with 14 hits en route to a 6-3 victory in the nightcap.

Jamison Dumont, who was named the Red River Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday, drove in two runs in Game 1.

Ganado graduate Cheyenne Galindo threw a complete game in the first game, allowing a lone unearned run in the second on seven hits and no walks, while striking out seven to improve to 7-2 on the year.

Kelsey Tidrick, who was named the RRAC Pitcher of the Week on Monday, picked up her fourth win of the season allowing one run on two hits and a walk, while striking out one over five innings in the second game.

The Jaguars (18-3) continue Red River Athletic Conference play at 3 p.m. Friday in a doubleheader with Our Lady of the Lake at the Victoria Youth Sports Complex.
