SHREVEPORT, La. – LSU-Shreveport got its offense going and swept a Red River Athletic Conference doubleheader from UHV on Saturday at Pilot Field.

The Pilots (26-4, 7-1) won the first game 8-1 and captured a 15-4 decision in the second game.

LSU-Shreveport hit two home runs in each game of the doubleheader.

The Jaguars (12-11, 5-3) had four hits, including two by Victoria West graduate Garrett Harrison, in the first game.

UHV had 10 hits in the second game, including two apiece by Harrison, Josh Fonseca, Caleb Zoda and Ely Gordon.

The Jaguars took a 3-0 lead in the third inning, but the Pilots came back with two in the fifth before going ahead with six runs in the sixth.

The teams will wrap up the series with a single game at noon Sunday.
