The Office of Health and Wellness serves a central role in leading a coordinated effort to promote health and wellness within the university. The office works in collaboration with stakeholders across Vanderbilt. Health and Wellness oversees the university public health response, reproductive health and parenting coordination, and employee wellness programs. The office also provides expertise and advisement on strategic direction for all health and wellness activities for faculty, staff, postdocs and students.

The university considers the holistic health and wellness of students, faculty, staff and postdocs the upmost priority, aligned with the university’s core values of belonging and collaboration. Wellness is an active pursuit (not a static state) and multidimensional. These dimensions include physical health, mental health and emotional health. Each of the areas of the Office of Health and Wellness play an important role in a variety of these dimensions.
