Okay. . . So How Do I Join a Career Community?

Ensuring your Handshake profile is complete is the most important step to joining a career community. You can also use filters to search for events and opportunities for each industry.

• Log in to Handshake update your profile and explore upcoming events! We want you to be in the know about events within each of the communities!  
  • You can filter for specific Vandy in communities by using the Label filter. Just type in your Vandy in community, and it will show you all upcoming events!

• Pop in during drop-in hours! No appointment is needed for drop-ins; we are here to offer immediate support! 

• More extensive questions regarding your career journey?  Vandy In community appointments & drop-in hours are available on Handshake! (Click Career Center>Schedule an Appointment). You can also view community-specific drop-in hours on the drop-downs below.

New for the 2023/24 Academic Year: Vandy In Weeks

The easiest way to join a Vandy In community is to participate in the events associated with each community’s week. New this year, each Vandy In community will have one week of dedicated programming, events, and content for their industry.

You can view a complete list of events and register on Handshake, but check out the drop-downs below for dedicated weeks for each Vandy In community, as well as drop-in hours!

NOTE: Drop-ins are not held when classes are not in session (holiday breaks, exam days, inclement weather, etc).
