Anaplasmosis: a lesser-known disease spread by tick bites

Like Lyme disease, the tick-borne illness anaplasmosis threatens Central New Yorkers who enjoy the outdoors. Seven cases of anaplasmosis were confirmed early this summer in Onondaga County, a marked increase in recent years.
