KFC is now selling fried chicken skin in Indonesia - but will it come to the UK?

The popular chicken brand is selling the new snack in six locations: MT Haryono, Salemba, Cideng, Kemang, Kalimalang and Kelapa Gading.

One order of the salty treat will set you back RP13,636, the equivalent of 76 pence.

The reaction online has been extremely positive, with fans writing their positive reviews on Instagram.

One wrote: "No need to fight over the skin now."

'OVERJOYED'

Another fan said they were "overjoyed" at the new addition to the menu.

One said: "Some say it's too salty, others that it's not salty enough. For me it tastes spicy savoury.

"It's different to what you'd expect as it's not the same as normal chicken skin, but the first bite is good.

"It's really crisp and crunchy! I'll definitely order again as a snack."

The product has been so popular that it is reported to have sold out at many of the venues.

And it's no surprise as posts about the new menu item go viral.

But will the salty snack make its way onto menus in the UK?

KFC have previously trialled a similar snack, 'Cracklings' in the Philippines, which is made of fried chicken skin.

While there's no news on a British arrival yet, it could be making its way west after the positive reaction.
