About Me
My name is Maguelonne Ival. I grew up in France, travelled around the world and have been living in Oregon (USA) since 2004. That’s where I started ceramics and never let go. In the last five years I have been specializing in Colored Clay and Nerikomi designs but also love throwing on the wheel and have challenged myself to combine all these techniques in pieces of art that are sometimes functional, sometimes not, and always unique.
The pandemic was the nudge I needed to focus on my art and create my company “Terre des Oules” . “Terre des Oules” means something like “Land of Ceramics” in French but there are several layers to its meaning. If you’re curious to know more, click HERE.
Besides ceramics, I also love writing and teaching . One of my articles about the Portland Ceramic Showcase was published in Oregon ArtsWatch (read HERE) and I occasionally teach Nerikomi workshops around Oregon. I also attend art fairs and markets. Check this page for upcoming events.
