You've made it to New Music Friday — and there's no better way to celebrate the end of a long week than a refreshing dive into the week's best new songs.

Korean megastar Psy makes an epic return with the Suga-produced (and featured!) offering “That That,” Justin Bieber drops “Honest”, his highly-anticipated collab with Houston rapper Don Toliver, and Baby Tate sets the weekend mood by dropping another diverse two-song bundle with the infectious “Dancing Queen” and “Yasss Queen.”

Other notable releases this week include Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Tayla Parx's solo single “Rich,” a new single from indie pop darlings Teagan and Sara, another new song off of Khalid's upcoming third studio album, and a throwback-inspired new track from MAX.

Check out our roundup of this week's best new music below.

Psy and Suga, “That That”

“Long time no see, huh?” Psy says, kicking off one of most fun songs of 2022 so far. The legendary Korean musician, who became an international viral star in 2012 with “Gangnam Style,” is back in full force with his ninth studio album and lead single “That That.” And what better way to make your triumphant return than with a prod. Suga?

Suga of BTS (aka Min Yoongi) produced, co-wrote, and features on the track — an instantly catchy dance anthem about doing whatever you want and liking it. The music video, meanwhile, is a wild west showdown between one pop icon and another, in which Psy dons his “Gangnam Style” suit for the duel and Suga ends up victorious, clutching a bleeding Psy on the hood of a car. But there’s no career death here: just two global stars taking the stage together, clad in their cowboy best for the earworm of the year.

Khalid, “Skyline”

If I could visualize a perfect weekend, it would be living out the music video for Khalid's latest single “Skyline.” Colorful, funky, and carefree, hitmaker Khalid is entering a new era. The 24-year-old popstar has delivered a retro-inspired track specially designed for summer, one that's sure to dominate the airwaves in the coming weeks. In a statement about “Skyline,” Khalid called the song a “recharge.”

“I hope it brings my fans joy and gets them through any dark times they may be going through,” said the singer. Everybody say thank you, Khalid!

Justin Bieber and Don Toliver, “Honest”

After dropping the goofy, behind-the-scenes recorded parody “I Feel Funny” earlier this week, Justin Bieber has dropped the actual song and music video he was filming while goofing around off-set. “Honest” is a collab with Houston's very own Don Toliver, relying heavily on the rapper's signature melodic trap sound. Even though “Honest” is a serious banger, the Cole Bennett-directed visual is silly and surreal… making it clear that in this latest chapter of his career, Bieber is prioritizing fun.

Baby Tate, “Dancing Queen”

This is not your mother's “Dancing Queen." Snarling, bawdy, and deliciously witty, we'll be playing Baby Tate's latest single “Dancing Queen" on a loop for the next week. “B*tches is blue in the face while I'm cheesin’, stackin’ cheddar" and “You might do 'em dirty (Ew) / but I'm finna do them filthy” are only two of the many standout lines on the new track, which was released with a choreographed visual that proves Baby Tate is a superstar in the making.

Tegan and Sara, “F***ing Up What Matters”

It’s impossible not to tap your feet and bop around a little when Tegan and Sara’s newest single “F*****g Up What Matters” comes on. It’s about getting everything you want and suddenly needing to destroy it all — and finding growth within that fresh start. “I hope I got under your skin, too,” they croon during a pause in the power pop, a soothing way to mark an ending. Nothing matters! Let it go! Dance it out!

Tayla Parx, “Rich”

Tayla Parx is my favorite underrated pop queen, just quietly creating his after hit. She’s an independent artist once more with her newest single “Rich,” which deftly pulls from Santana’s “Maria Maria” and Y2K by way of B2K. Overtop the woozy melody is Tayla’s signature wordsmithing — she turns a fairly straightforward song about being scared to fully trust after heartbreak into a memorable ode to finding someone worth the risk.

Max, “Gucci Bag”

In an infectious, groovy track that is, in our opinion about two minutes too short, singer-songwriter MAX floats over a funky and ‘70s-soul-tinged beat. “Gucci Bag” deserves to be blasted at full volume when you’re feeling your flyest, when you're metaphorically “in your Gucci bag," just like Max croons on the new song.

(Nickelodeon kids, it might take you a second to dig into your childhood memories, but you'll eventually recognize MAX as Max Schneider — Max was once the star of the 2012 musical movie Rags, also starring Keke Palmer, Drake Bell, Avan Jogia and Nick Cannon. Deep cut, we know.)
