REOPENING SCHOOLS JAN. 3RD
During our time on break, you received important communication from MCPS about our commitment to Keeping Schools/Staff Safe and In Person. If you missed the email that was sent December 30th, I am including it here for your review.
In the email you will find ways we can play our part in staying safe. We are expecting KN-95 masks for staff this week and are expecting details on receiving home rapid tests for staff & students. Additionally, we will also refer to the COVID Reporting Form from the Winter Break as our standard tool for reporting COVID cases effective 1/3/22. Together we will work through this time!

COVID - 19 REMINDERS FOR STUDENTS & FAMILIES
We continue to rely on our families to screen their children daily for symptoms. To help us avoid quarantine, we are asking that you please continue to screen your children at home and if they have even one symptom of COVID-19, or are awaiting COVID test results, please do not send them to school. This is particularly important as it is a collective responsibility that we exercise caution and be conservative in our approach.
The single symptoms that the health room staff screen for and will result in quarantine are cough, difficulty breathing, new loss of taste or smell, fever ≥100.4°, sore throat, severe headache, diarrhea or vomiting. Please do not send your children to school with any of these symptoms. This is essential for us to work together to keep each other safe and healthy.
*Additional Note: Some families have asked for information about the CDC's definition of "Close Contact," so I am providing the link to that information for your reference.
PARENT PICK UP REMINDERS
Thank you for your patience at the end of the long day and for working with us to keep our Dolphins safe!
Stay In Touch With MCPS for Inclement Weather Information
Please be reminded about the email from MCPS that was shared with community members to provide a summary of the places where information is posted when the school system announces school cancellations, delayed openings or early closures due to weather conditions and other emergencies.

Federal eligibility guidelines change each school year; therefore a new application must be submitted each school year. All students in the family should be listed on one household application. Please keep this important document for your records and use throughout the school year. Families may apply for meal benefits at any time during the school year.
