K-2 Math Assessments
Quarter 4 Assessments are in the K-5 math hub. Modified 2023-2024 tasks are based on the priority standards in the pacing guides. This is intentional to only focus on standards and scope that match what students covered in the perspective quarters. Teachers are welcome to use previous years tasks or former NCDPI tasks with their administrator's permission. Additionally, once students show proficiency with a math task that assesses the complete standard they do not have to reassess for the purpose of K-2 Assessment data (even in quarter 4 state assessments). Teachers are encouraged to document and collect the evidence for each standard.
Remember, there is no specific testing window for Quarter 4 K-2 Assessments. They need to be administered during the 4th quarter. The Data Entry spreadsheet is also included in the links.

What is the Modern Classrooms Project?
The Modern Classrooms Project (MCP) is a nonprofit that is scaling an innovative new method of teaching. They empower educators to implement a blended, self-paced, mastery-based instructional model to create student-centered and equitable learning environments for all students while ensuring that teaching is a fulfilling and sustainable profession. The best way to see MCP’s research-backed model in action is to watch this short Edutopia video.
What is the Math Innovation Fellowship?
The MCP team is recruiting 4th grade math teachers to participate in a special curriculum fellowship in the 2024-2025 school year. Educators in this Fellowship will receive Eureka Math²-aligned materials, training and support from the MCP team, and a monetary stipend of up to $1,000. This Fellowship will save teachers valuable planning time while helping them implement Eureka Math² with a student-centered approach. The Fellowship will kick off with a three-day training over the summer on August 5 - 7. If you’re new to MCP and want to join this Fellowship, you do not need to enroll in the Virtual Mentorship Program or free course!
What if I’ve already completed MCP’s Virtual Mentorship Program or free course?
Please apply! The Math Innovation Fellowship is open to educators who have already completed one of MCP’s training programs and educators who are brand new to the MCP model.
