Important information
Seeing an outdoor show is a wonderful experience, and there's really nothing quite like it. That said, performing in the great outdoors brings a number of special considerations.

We advise all audience members to check the weather forecast prior to coming to a show, and make sure to pack sun cream, sun hat, wet weather gear and any other necessary items. Please do not use umbrellas while watching a show, as they can obstruct the view of other audience members. We recommend plastic ponchos as a cheap and effective way of keeping dry. Shakespeare's Wanderers perform in all but the worst weather conditions and will rarely cancel a show. More information is available on our weather policy.

While we think that our shows are a great introduction to Shakespeare and outdoor theatre, you'll need to consider whether your children will be able to sit through a two hour performance. Our recommended age guidance is six years and above, but some younger children may enjoy the show - we'll leave it to your judgement. We're happy for people to bring dogs along to a show, as long as they're able to sit quietly throughout the performance.

Our latest production
In the summer of 2021, we toured our production of Twelfth Night.
This lively new take on Shakespeare's beloved comedy will take audiences back to the roaring twenties for an evening of romance, fun and mischief.

When Viola is shipwrecked in a strange new land, she decides to disguise herself as a man to enter the service of Duke Orsino and earn her keep. The Duke tasks Viola with delivering his messages of love to the Lady Olivia who is in mourning for her brother. A simple task, but one which will entangle each of them in a confused love triangle – all while Sir Toby leads the servants in a merry war against Malvolio, Lady Olivia’s pompous steward.

With six versatile actors, we will take audiences on a gorgeous outdoor adventure combining music, dance and a good dose of comedy. This family-friendly show is suitable for ages six and up and is a great introduction to outdoor theatre and Shakespeare.
