Driver carjacked outside Sorrento Valley gym
The theft happened about 8 a.m. at a Planet Fitness
A thief carjacked a man outside a gym in Sorrento Valley on Tuesday morning, San Diego police said.
The victim, a 52-year-old man, had just parked at the Planet Fitness on Scranton Road and gotten out of his vehicle about 8 a.m. when the robber walked up, police Officer Sarah Foster said.
The thief, who made it appear he had a gun, got in the man’s vehicle and drove off, Foster said.
