Ina, Deskubre, Setbe — To Enlighten, To Discover, and To Serve is the mission of the University of Guam.  In alignment with its “Para Hulo’” — “ever upward” Strategic Plan, Strategic Initiative 1: Be Recognized as a Research University (Centered in Island Wisdom), the University of Guam intends to establish a Master’s of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree program unique to our geographical region and indigenous cultures.
 
In light of the above, we are conducting a survey as part of a feasibility study to evaluate the viability of establishing an MLIS program at the University of Guam. 
 
Please complete the following brief survey of 12 items to assist us in assessing the value and need for establishing such a degree program. Your responses will be kept confidential.
 
Agreement to Participate: 

By taking this survey, you are agreeing to participate in a survey that can inform a feasibility study for an MLIS program at the University of Guam. Your participation is completely voluntary, anonymous, and will be kept confidential.  You can withdraw at any time before, during and after the survey.  The question items have been reviewed to be of minimal risk to you. While you will not benefit from this study directly, your participation can inform the development of a program designed to address the region’s specific needs.  
By agreeing to participate in this study, you are acknowledging that you are:
·         of legal age
·         a professional who may be interested in an MLIS program designed to address the needs of,
          as well as, improve conditions in the Micronesian region
