Mission and Vision
Alabama Prison Birth Project's mission is to improve the health of newborns birthed by people in custody while strengthening parental bonds and self-efficacy.
All people giving birth in custody in Alabama will have healthy births and will not be separated from their newborns, ensuring normal child development and promoting positive parental change from within.
