Oregon Health Insurance Survey
The Oregon Health Insurance Survey (OHIS) is an important source of information about health care coverage and progress toward health equity goals in the state. The survey provides detailed information about the impacts of health system reform efforts on health care coverage, access to care, and utilization. OHIS is fielded every two years and more than 8,000 Oregonian households completed the survey between January and September of 2021.

Dashboards and Reports
OHIS data are available in interactive online dashboards that allow viewers to explore and filter the data in ways that are meaningful to them. Data are currently organized into two dashboards:1) Health Insurance Coverage and 2) The Uninsured. Data from multiple years and with several demographic breakdowns are available in each dashboard.
These dashboards:
- Provide insights into disparities around health insurance coverage, access, and costs over several years.
- Give information on why people are uninsured. For example, 22% of uninsured Oregonians were uninsured because they lost OHP coverage.
- Allow users to access the breadth and depth of six years of OHIS data.
