Move over pork rinds, KFC now selling fried chicken skin in Asia

PUBLISHED: | UPDATED:

For those who can’t get enough of the skin of fried chicken, your prayers have been answered.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is hawking the crunchy morsels on its menu at various international locations.

According to published reports, the fast-food giant has sold bags of fried chicken skins in Indonesia.

A translation of the country’s KFC Twitter account announced that the fried chicken skins are set to sell at locations in Salemba, Cideng, Kemang, Kalimalang and Kelapa Gading.

The fever for the flavor of the finger-licking cholesterol-laced cracklings have spread like wildfire on social media.

Several food blogs on Facebook reportedly announced that KFCs in Thailand were also carrying fried chicken skin after many thought, initially, it would only be limited to a single region.

There are reports that the item is also available in Bangkok.

Customers who tried the skins described it as “salty” and “different from what you’d expect,” The Sun reports.

However it lands on people’s palates, it seems to be selling out and in high demand.

No word if the fried chicken skins are United States-bound but KFC has been adding other items to its menu.

For Mother’s Day, a limited-time-only dessert biscuit, the Cinnabon Dessert Biscuit, was promoted.

Combining the classic KFC biscuit with a cinnamon and brown sugar glaze, the dessert also has signature Cinnabon cream cheese frosting.
