A woman whose husband is on death row with Richard Glossip told News 9 when an inmate walks to the execution chamber, all the inmates pound on the wall in unison. It's a tradition called "One heartbeat."

The inmates planned to do it loud enough for the world to hear. But before the that ever happened, the courts heard Glossip.

Glossip's execution is stayed for two weeks. In that time, his team will continue the search for new evidence they said proves his innocence. His team will file the evidence in the court of criminal appeals and upon review, the court could grant a hearing to actually hear their side.

From there, a completely new trial could be granted. In that new trial, Glossip could be found innocent or guilty for a third time.

We asked Oklahoma county District Attorney David Prater if a new trial is granted, would he take it up? His response, “Of course."

Glossip's team is trying to discredit Justin Sneed who said Glossip hired him to kill Van Treese. News 9 learned that an attorney did meet with Sneed as he's serving life in prison, and Sneed said he's not changing his story.
