Dennis and Kari Vogel named 2022 Riverfest Commodore & First Mate

They were introduced at Celebrations on the River on French Island Thursday morning.

Dennis is a UW-La Crosse graduate and chief executive officer of Citizens State Bank.

“We’re very fortunate to be able to do this when our kids are young,” Dennis said. “A lot of the commodores did not have that luxury. So, we’re really looking forward to that our kids, being part of it, creating memories and giving back to the community that’s been so great to us. And being that catalyst of hopefully more families getting involved this summer.”

Dennis and Kari have three children — Jack, Stella, and Reed.

The couple will officially begin their duties at the Commodore Dinner on June 7 at the Radisson Hotel.

Riverfest kicks off in La Crosse’s Riverside Park on Thursday, June 30.
