A woman has left people baffled over her interesting pronunciation of the word "cucumber."
TikTok user Emma ( @emmaflicc_ ) said she was "today years old" when she learnt that she'd been pronouncing the word "cucumber" weird her entire life.
The discovery came after a number of people pointed out how strange it was in one of her previous TikToks, with one person commenting: "This is the most unhinged pronunciation of cucumber oh my."
So she put it to the masses.
In a video that has since been viewed more than 534,000 times, Emma asked whether she does in fact pronounce the word "cucumber" strangely - and it turns out she does.

"This is the tenth comment on this video saying that the way that I pronounce it is bizarre," she said.
Emma said she was forced to "message my friends and family and get them to send me voice notes on how they pronounce it."
"Turns out my brother is the only person that pronounces it the same way I do to it must be a family thing."
She concluded by asking whether anyone else says it like she does, but based on the comments, it doesn't look that way...

Since being posted, the video has racked up more than 31,000 likes and 1,000 comments from people who were left scratching their heads at the odd pronunciation.
One person said: "The flaw in your logic here is expecting the English language to make sense."
Another wrote: "This genuinely gives me the ick."
A third commented: "cyew CYUM ber? WHYYYYY?"
"I'm 48 and have NEVER heard anyone pronounce it the way you do! That said... I kind of want to pronounce it that way now to mess with people," said a fourth.
While someone else admitted: "I pronounce it cocoomber."
