TEA Meetings

1/17/24: CK282 – 4:30p-5:30p – Boba TeaJoin TEA for their first meeting in the 2024 Spring Semester! Students will be introduced to the club and introduce the semester’s meetings. There will be free Boba Tea for all who attend.

1/24/2024: Location TBD – 4:30p-5:30p – TEA and Trivia – This is an opportunity for students interested in the education sector to meet like-minded peers by playing trivia and drinking tea. Students will have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

1/31/2024: CK386 – 4:30p–5:30p – TEA Time – This is an opportunity for students interested in the education sector to meet like-minded peers by hanging out and drinking tea. Students can have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

2/7/2024: Location TBD – 4:30p–5:30p – TA Appreciation NightThis will be for TAs to network with each other and build community as well as for our organization to give thanks to the great work TA’s are doing on campus!

2/14/2024: CK282 – 4:30p–5:30p – Self Care & Painting: This is an opportunity for members of the club to destress, learn about self-care, and have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

2/21/2024: CK386 – 4:30p–5:30p – TEA Time – This is an opportunity for students interested in the education sector to meet like-minded peers by hanging out and drinking tea. Students can have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

2/28/2024: CK150 – 4:30p–5:30p – How to Make it Through Your First Year: Life Lessons: This is an opportunity for students interested in education to learn the Do’s and Don’t’s about being a first-year teacher!

3/6/2024: CK386 – 4:30p–5:30p – TEA Time – This is an opportunity for students interested in the education sector to meet like-minded peers by hanging out and drinking tea. Students can have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

3/13/2024: CK370 – 4:30p–5:30p – Game Night: This is an opportunity for anyone to destress by playing board games and drinking tea. Students can have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

3/27/2024: CK Commons – 4:30p–5:30p – Teacher Thank You Event : Students will write thank you cards to local teachers to show their appreciation.

4/3/2024: MZ126 – 5p–7p – Teacher Panel : This is an opportunity for students interested in teaching to ask current professionals about their experiences. We will have current teachers from local districts as well as Mines Alumni that have gone into education come and speak to current Mines students.

4/10/2024: CK386 – 4:30p–5:30p – TEA Time – This is an opportunity for students interested in the education sector to meet like-minded peers by hanging out and drinking tea. Students can have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.

4/17/2024: 6:30p-7:30p – Location TBD – Science Slam! Students will participate in a presentation-style competition where they will present on topics they are passionate about and the person who communicates their content most effectively will win.

4/24/2024: CK386 – 4:30p–5:30p – Elections: This will be an opportunity to vote and decide on the future of the Teacher’s Education Alliance leadership and direction. All are welcome to apply and vote!

5/1/2024: Location & Time TBD – TEA Dinner: This is an opportunity for students interested in the education sector to say goodbye to their peers before summer. Students can have discussions around teaching, their experiences in the classroom, and hopes for the future.
