CMS has created different materials and resources to help people with Medicaid or CHIP take steps to renew their health coverage or find other coverage options.

Communications Toolkit

What’s in the Toolkit? The toolkit includes important messages and sample materials (like drop-in articles, social media messages, and flyers) for states and other partners to use.

Who can use the toolkit? States, CMS partners, community organizations, health professionals, schools, and other stakeholders who interact with people who have Medicaid or CHIP.

What languages are materials and resources available in? The toolkit is available in English and Español/Spanish. Some of the Toolkit materials, including drop-in articles, a fact sheet, and a post card are also available in 中文/Chinese, हिन्दी/Hindi, 한국어/Korean, Tagalog, and TIẾNG VIỆT/Vietnamese. Postcards are also available in Ukrainian, Dari, and Pashto. Find more translated materials here.

Consumer Research

To help with the creation of the Communications Toolkit and other materials, CMS explored Medicaid enrollment, renewal experiences, and expectations among individuals enrolled in Medicaid and parents of children enrolled in CHIP.
