Support of Part-Time & Hourly Workers

  • It was of utmost importance to Dallas Mavericks management and ownership that we do what we could to minimize the adverse financial impact that will be felt by staff who would otherwise be working our games at American Airlines Center.
  • Mark Cuban and Dallas Mavericks leadership were first in the NBA to commit to supporting hourly arena workers after the NBA announced the suspension of play. In partnership with American Airlines Center leadership, the more than 800 scheduled event staff received payment for the seven home games that were to take place during the NBA hiatus. • Since then franchises, ownership and players across major sports leagues including the NBA, MLB and NHL, have followed suit to support those workers acutely impacted by the suspension of play across sports.
