I've created a GPT chatbot based on my book "Practical Pedagogy: 40 New Ways to Teach and Learn". It's a friendly pedagogy expert offering practical advice on innovative and effective ways to teach. You can try it now if you have a ChatGPT Plus account. It should soon be available on the OpenAI app store. Ask it, e.g.: "What are effective strategies for inclusive education?", "Explain Teachback", "Can I implement flipped learning in distance education?". "Should I teach to students' learning styles?", And of course: "What are good methods of assessment that can avoid students cheating by using ChatGPT to write their assignments?". https://lnkd.in/eGbNbKXs

I'd love to learn more about the mechanics of how you created this chatbot? Did you upload an entire book or did you have to the work synthesizing content for the system?

Amazing Mike, thank you! I see a new industry emerging: authors hiring GPT-chatbots creators for their books. How hard will it be for non-authors to make such chatbots, what do you think Mike Sharples?

Thanks for sharing Mike Sharples ! Many people seem interested in this for using it similar to you. I don't have plus but I think there is ambiguity in terms of data privacy and I didn't have time to check. Curious, first, if you as builder get access to what users of it are asking? Or at least usage data? That might be useful for research. Also, any clarity on what happens with the data/documents uploaded? Searching about it is confusing as the name gets jumbled up with other openAI features and a quick look at the website didn't clarify it. Finally, curious of comparison beyond usability in terms of performance compared to e.g. a well-designed prompt with the same document uploaded e.g. through plugins. Thanks for any thoughts on this!

Ignatz Heinz thought you’d be interested. Thanks Mike Sharples (in other news I’m badly injured so low profile)

Your comment about learning styles is interesting here. Wonder if ChatGPT highlights neuromyths here? I will need to try it out… intrigued. Thank you for sharing this Mike Sharples
