MedCraft recently toured the Digital Building Components (DBC) fabrication facility in Phoenix, AZ where they prefabricate exterior wall systems. The following week, DPR Construction provided MedCraft a tour of the new Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital 7-story inpatient tower project, in Wildomar, CA, where the prefabricated exterior wall system was being installed. We also toured a nearby 84,000 SF outpatient facility being built for Kaiser Permanente, which also utilized DBC prefabricated exterior wall system. The use of prefabricated exterior wall systems on these two projects was more economical and reduced the overall project timeline as compared to traditional exterior wall construction methods. In light of the recent cyberattack on Change Healthcare, MedCraft would like to share the Minnesota Hospital Association advisory urging everyone to exercise caution and to be aware of scammers taking advantage of this unfortunate situation. This advisory is not just for Minnesotans, but anyone receiving unsolicited contact for health or financial information. Scammers are fraudulently posing as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies attempting to collect personal information, so please exercise caution.
The cyberattack on Change Healthcare disabled a key piece of U.S. healthcare infrastructure and may have exposed patient information. There are reports that scammers are citing the attack in attempts to defraud patients, posing as hospitals, clinics, or pharmacies. The Minnesota Hospital Association is urging Minnesotans to exercise caution with any unsolicited contact about their health or financial affairs.
