Did you know OIDP leverages expert advice to prevent infectious diseases through four federal advisory committees and workgroups? They include: ◾ Advisory Committee on Blood and Tissue Safety and Availability (ACBTSA): Providing vital policy guidance on blood, blood products, and tissues. ◾ Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA): Offering insights and recommendations to the Secretary on HIV/AIDS programs, policies, and research. ◾ Presidential Advisory Council on Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria (PACCARB): Advising on strategies to combat antibiotic-resistant bacteria and evaluate related government activities. ◾ National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC): Recommending ways to optimize disease prevention through vaccine development and ensuring vaccine safety. These federal advisory committees play an important role in making rules and plans to keep people healthy. Let's keep working together to make sure everyone stays well in the future! Today is Memorial Day, so we would like to start the week with gratitude. There is sacrifice in service. We are grateful for the sacrifice of service members gone, and for the sacrifice of their loved ones who live with their loss. #HonorTheFallen #MemorialDay

Winners have been announced for the 41st Healthcare Advertising Awards and we placed not once, not twice, but 8 times - including Best in Show! We have made no secret of our commitment to taking on public health challenges, and in particular, mental health and SUD challenges. This (now award-winning and inspired) work speaks to normalizing discussions about mental health and using our voices to help break the silence, peeling back layers of stigma. It is a testament to the power of visual storytelling. Shoutout to our amazing creative team for their conversation-starting, and narrative-interrupting designs! Featured below is our submission for Social Media Content - a mini-series for mental health called "Break the Silence". #DYK that Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) research has shown that women are diagnosed with serious mental health conditions at higher rates than men, 7% to 4%, respectively? It's time to prioritize mental health support for women and ensure that they receive the care they need, including postpartum care. Let's work together to raise awareness and break the stigma surrounding mental health.
