CORE provides essential experiential learning management for our licensure programs within Canvas for a seamless, user-friendly experience.
Description and Purpose of CORE
CORE is a web-based subscription that allows for:
- The creation and submission of projects and assignments online.
- The creation and long-term storage of electronic portfolios, projects, and documents.
- The storage of documents so that they are accessible to you from any computer in the world.
- The creation of your student teaching or internship portfolio by uploading and storing documents and files.
- Faculty to use rubrics in order to assess a candidate’s work and give feedback.
- The School of Education to collect and aggregate data for program evaluation and continuous improvement.
- The School of Education to develop and analyze reports for accreditation purposes based on the aggregate data.
Who needs CORE?
CORE is required for candidates pursuing a licensure program.

Purchasing and Registering a CORE Account
Purchasing:
- Candidates should purchase the School of Education CORE Membership from the Liberty University Online Bookstore.
- CORE is a one-time purchase. This is the program that will be tracking benchmarks for accreditation and follow you throughout your program. CORE is not returnable after purchase.
- If you previously purchased this membership for another course or sub-term, there is no need to purchase it again. Upon purchase, you will receive an email with instructions assisting you with accessing the CORE product.
- It can take 2-5 days for your membership to be activated.
- If you previously purchased LiveText (our prior tool), you will receive a complimentary subscription to CORE.
