Have you ever heard of a prom being held at a hospital?
Nebraska Medical Center went above and beyond for one high school student who missed out on his opportunity to go.
Austin Roberts is recovering from injuries he sustained in an accident several weeks ago so he missed out on taking his girlfriend, Hannah Carlyle, to prom.
The Child and Family Development team at Nebraska Medicine stepped in to make sure both of them could share a special night together.
The party was complete with decorations, a dance floor, corsages, a photo booth and snacks — including Austin’s favorite: Cosmic Brownies!
The team at Nebraska Medicine even got in on the action showcasing some of their best dance moves.
The couple even got crowned prom queen and king. It may not have been the typical prom but it was surely a night Austin and Hannah never forget.
