MARTINSBURG — State and local officials announced Tuesday the next available vaccination event for residents will take place this Thursday by appointment only.

This week’s clinics across the state of West Virginia are being made available to those who are 65 and older, as announced by Gov. Jim Justice Tuesday.

Locally, Thursday’s clinic will be held at the Berkeley 2000 Recreation Center, 273 Woodbury Avenue, in Martinsburg, Berkeley-Morgan County Board of Health Director Bill Kearns said. Thursday’s administrations are made possible by the Berkeley and Morgan County health departments, in partnership with multiple community partners.

“Only 600 doses have been allocated for Berkeley, Morgan and Jefferson county at this time,” Kerns said in release via the county’s alert system. “Please be patient: Vaccine supplies are still limited as interest in receiving the vaccine continues to grow.”

To schedule an appointment online, visit https://help.gst.com/vaccinereg/. To schedule over the phone, call 304-267-1304. You will then receive a callback with your appointment time, as the vaccine is available, or you will be placed on a wait list, officials said.

Those receiving the vaccine will also need to provide an accurate phone number and email address, as well as proof of residence. Individuals are asked not to arrive any earlier than 15 minutes prior to appointment times and to bring proof of date of birth.

“To assist maintaining of social distancing and flow, upon arrival, you will receive an assigned (number) from our parking assistants and directed where to park,” the release said. “Please remain in your vehicle until your number is called.”

According to Justice, all clinics require appointments, and walk-ins will not be accepted. The community vaccination clinic model will continue to be used each week, and additional locations will be added as vaccine supply increases.
