High resolution satellite images from Ground Zero taken on June 16 show a massive continuing build-up by the Chinese side despite the de-escalation agreement at the Lt Gen-level on June 6.

Satellite images from Planet Labs, reviewed by India Today TV takes a look at the flash point zone between the two sides.

FINDINGS FROM THE SATELLITE IMAGES OF GALWAN

CHINESE TROOPS AT GALWAN VALLEY

The first two images show heavy presence of Chinese troops despite the mutual agreement of de-escalation in the military-level talks between India and China.

Chinese troops in this area have vastly outnumbered the Indian Army soldiers. Over 200 military vehicles and several tents can still be seen present in the area even after the clashes and the disengagement talks.

An intense Chinese build-up is seen from the China side. At least 200 military vehicles are seen on ground in the Chinese side.

INDIAN BACK UP POSITION

This image shows Indian troops are holding their ground after the violent clashes that left 20 Indian soldiers dead while fighting with Chinese troops on Monday night.

Despite being outnumbered by the Chinese troops and facing horrific causalities, the images prove that Indian troops are holding their positions strongly. The Indian Army has officially confirmed at least 20 soldiers have died and several others are injured in what was a bloody and brutal brawl.

These images establish and prove China's betrayal less than 10 days after agreeing to disengage and de-escalate the tension in Galwan Valley that has been going on for months. These images show that China intensified its troop build-ups amidst the de-escalation process. The images show Chinese troops are distributed in three parts. The forward build up is followed by two trails directed towards the Line of Actual Control (LAC). The images from Tuesday show hundreds of military vehicles lining up on the Chinese side as well as encampments distributed in middle and backward parts of the Chinese trail.
