I Am a Scientist is a collection of resources designed to challenge stereotypes and reimagine how students engage with STEM careers.

Science and technology are increasingly impacting our day-to-day lives, and these fields should be representative of the communities they impact. Crafted in collaboration with teachers, I Am a Scientist features story-based, classroom-compatible materials that uplift, inspire, and guide students through people and disciplines that are shaping our worlds.

Breaking Stereotypes.

We showcase real world scientists from across backgrounds, personalities, and fields that challenge misconceptions about what STEM careers can be, and who can lead them.

Demystifying Career Pathways.

There's no one path to science. We share scientists' unique journeys while highlighting the insider tips that aren't always accessible to students.

Humanizing Science.

By highlighting both the passions and challenges of the people behind the science, we encourage students to see these fields in new and relatable ways.

Connecting STEM to society.

We focus on the real world problems that STEM fields help solve, so that students can see the connections between science and the things they care about.

I Am a Scientist includes free, mix-and-match resources that can be easily tailored to classrooms or home activities.

Our stories feature digital hubs, photo galleries, career paths, Spotify playlists, original, illustrations, a day-in-the-life vignette, downloadable slide decks, and more. Our flagship posters highlight engaging images and details about each STEM professional, with the aim of fostering inclusive learning and inspiring students. All of our resources are freely available to access or download online.
