A new piece of Banksy-esque street art has appeared in one of Hull's busiest streets.

The art work, which sees a baby holding onto an umbrella, appeared at the corner of Hessle Road and Wellsted Street, on the side of a former laundrette, earlier this week.

Although a number of people have believed it is a Banksy , the piece of art is by Hull's very own Preg, who has been seen putting the finishing touches to the art over the last couple of days.

Hull offers a wealth of places to explore, activities to enjoy and cultural experiences to savour, and the city’s official tourism partnership, Visit Hull, is constantly working to fly the flag for the city and build the quality of the destination for visitors.

Here’s just a taste of some of the exciting events Visit Hull is promoting during the first half of July.

Preg, whose real name is Preston Fox, is responsible for a number of Hull's quirkiest pieces of street art , including a number across Fruit Market - leading many in the city to describe him as "Hull's Banksy".

And speaking to Hull Live last year, Preg said he did not mind being called that.

“Banksy is the best thing that ever happened to Hull and he is the most famous street artist in the world so if people want to class me as that I don’t mind.”
