Field River Community Planting Day

Resilient Urban Rivers – join us for a free Community Planting Day

This event is part of Greening Australia’s Nature in Cities program, which aims to engage and collaborate with communities.

Working together with the Kaurna People, Green Adelaide, City of Marion, Nature’s Own and the local community, we will be planting local native species along the river to supplement the Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos diet and help create a more resilient, biodiverse habitat.

This partnership is supporting the Field River project to deliver habitat and connectivity for native flora and fauna, improve water quality outcomes along the catchment and reconnect people with nature.

Join us for a day of tree planting and other activities:

  • Kaurna cultural knowledge sharing
  • Free BBQ and coffee available

Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring your own water bottles, and wear closed toe-shoes. Gloves and trowels can be supplied, but please bring your own if you have them available.

We look forward to seeing you there.
