Mason Bridegan Medical Fund

On October 6, 2020, Mason Bridegan (age 24) was diagnosed with stage 4 Cholangiocarcinoma a rare and aggressive cancer of the bile duct, an especially shocking diagnosis for someone Mason’s age and athleticism. Mason has undergone a battery of tests at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas (“MDA”) and begins treatment immediately. The path for treatment will be rough, requiring chemotherapy, radiation, clinical trials, medications, and professional expertise to slow the progression of this terrible disease.

This nightmare started on August 21, 2020. Following blood work done with his primary care physician, Mason was advised to go to the emergency room. Following a battery of tests, the doctors found a tumor (7x5x7.70mm) at the head of his pancreas. The mass is pushing on his liver which was keeping his liver from draining. On August 22, Mason had an endoscopy during which the doctor inserted a stint to help his liver drain and did a biopsy of the mass on his pancreas. On August 27, which seemed like a lifetime later, the biopsy results came back and the doctors, after consulting with cancer specialists, advised us that Mason had a Neuroendocrine Tumor that had spread to his liver. Thereafter, Mason began the process of accumulating his medical records for submission to cancer treatment centers and returned to Tulsa to await word of admission for treatment. After another lifetime of waiting, Mason was advised by MDA that his medical records had been received and that he needed to be at MDA the next day. Ultimately, Mason was given his diagnosis and now begins his fight.

We are so appreciative of all of your support and prayers through this. We continue to pray for a miracle, for strength, for clarity, and for determination to beat this horrible disease.

For those of you who do not know, Mason graduated from Broken Arrow High School, attended the University of Oklahoma, was on the OU Men’s tennis team, was a Tennis Team Captain his Senior year at OU and graduated from OU in May 2019. Since then, Mason has been employed in Naples, Florida with a large aeronautical company.

As you can imagine, treatment for cancer is expensive, and Mason could use every bit of financial support he can get to help him combat the costs of this fight against cancer including, but not limited to, accommodations in Houston, travel to and from Tulsa, out-of-pocket medical and prescription costs, and future trials and treatments that may not be covered by insurance. Your generosity can help lighten the load, so that he can focus on recovery. If you would like to financially help, please donate! Eric and Teri Stall
