Like performance venues all over the country, the COVID-19 pandemic forced Sacred Heart Music Center to close its doors in March 2020. Performing arts venues were the first to close and will be the last to reopen. As a result, the music center has been unable to host live music concerts and special events, its main source of revenue.

This year, we really need support from community members more than ever. To this end, we are honored to be partnering with the local band One Less Guest and Ursa Minor Brewing to help raise much-needed funding for Sacred Heart Music Center.  Through this collaboration, One Less Guest and Ursa Minor Brewing have set a goal of raising $20,000, and there’s a lot to be excited about! Ursa Minor will:

  • Release a special, limited-run Sacred Heart Forbidden Fruit strawberry sour beer in January 2021. All of the proceeds from the beer sales will be donated to Sacred Heart
  •  Provide a $5,000 challenge match to help jump start the fundraiser with a dollar-for-dollar match of the first $5,000 in donations.
  • Host a four-hour livestream concert with local musicians on January 30, 2021.  This event will be headlined by One Less Guest and feature The New Salty Dogs and Laura Velvet,

Since our March closure, program revenues dropped by $75,000 from the previous year.   With your support, this collaboration will enable the Sacred Heart Board of Directors to maintain this  historic building so performance and education programming can continue once this health crisis passes.

We hope you will consider making a generous contribution to help preserve the Sacred Heart Music Center building and protect its vital arts programming.   To learn more about the Forbidden Fruit: Fundraiser for Sacred Heart Music Center visit our Facebook page
