A viral post about a puppy up for adoption in Broken Arrow led to one family camping out for 27 hours to adopt her.
Broken Arrow Animal shelter posted a picture of the border collie with a "black heart" fur pattern last Friday and people on Facebook shared it 27,000 times and there were more than a thousand comments.
The animal shelter says they got hundreds of inquiries about the dog -- some coming from around the country and outside the U.S.
A Tulsa family is adopting the dog.
The family -- like the thousands that shared her photo -- fell in love with the dog and the heart on her chest.
The family started camping out outside the shelter at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday -- 27 hours before she was eligible for adoption.
Kyle Johnson says the dog -- who they plan to name Luna -- is a wedding present for his sister-in-law.
The Broken Arrow Animal Shelter says they plenty of other dogs and cats -- close to 50 of them -- still up for adoption. Though they may not have a heart on their chest like Luna does, they all still need loving families.
