Kentucky Cancer Policy Forum: Cancer Disparities & COVID-19

Reductions in the cancer death rate have not been experienced equitably across racial, socioeconomic, or ethnic groups. Black Kentuckians have a higher cancer death rate than other Kentuckians, and COVID-19’s impact – from loss of insurance coverage to delayed preventative care – could widen those disparities across the state.

Join ACS CAN for a wide-ranging discussion about the necessary steps the oncology community – and the public health community broadly – must take to address the inequities in cancer care and outcomes.

Panel Discussion: “Kentucky Cancer Policy Forum: Cancer Disparities & COVID-19”:

Dr. Douglas Flora, MD, LSSBB, Medical Oncology and Hematology, St. Elizabeth Healthcare
Senator Reginald L. Thomas, Kentucky 13th District
Rachael King, Senior Director Cancer Control Strategic Partnerships, American Cancer Society
Representative Kimberly Poore Moser, Kentucky's 64th District
Dr. Nathan Vanderford, Ph.D., MBA University of Kentucky School of Medicine
