Therapist

Contract Therapist Position

Early Connections Institute LLC is excited to announce that we are expanding and seeking one to two more therapists to join our small specialized practice. Early Connections Institute LLC is a locally owned private practice in Brighton, Michigan with opportunities to work both remotely and in person. We are a supportive group of clinicians who are united by a passion, talent and specialization for working with women, children and families in unique and effective ways.  Some of our specialties include perinatal and reproductive mental health, supporting patients through perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, infertility, grief and loss, attachment/ bonding concerns, parenting support etc. We also specialize in mental health treatment for children of all ages including Infant Mental Health informed therapy, play therapy as well as dyadic work with caregivers and children using a relational and trauma informed lens.


Ideal candidates will have a background and/or certification in Infant Mental Health, maternal mental health, play therapy and/or women’s issues. We are seeking new and/or established professionals who are wanting to find professional growth and stability in private practice without having to worry about the business side of things.  At Early Connections Institute LLC, we provide competitive fee split,  aesthetically beautiful office space and all the resources you need to succeed in a private practice setting, as listed below.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide effective and supportive psychotherapy for women, children and families

  • Appropriately diagnose, monitor, develop and implement treatment plans for various mental health disorders using an attachment, relational, trauma informed and evidence based framework

  • Integrate concepts and stay up to date on evidence based treatment for area of expertise

  • Refer clients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary

  • Maintain timely and thorough records of client meetings and progress in accordance with health insurance requirements

  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality abiding by HIPAA laws

  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 12+ client hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Must have current active mental health license in the state of Michigan

  • Accepted licenses: LMSW, LPC, PhD, PsyD or LMFT

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years direct clinical experience (post-graduate)  preferably working in at least one area of expertise

  • Strong clinical and assessment skills

  • Ability to work autonomously within supportive team environment


Hiring preference will be given to those with a certification or specialization in the fields of Infant Mental Health, Children’s Mental Health, Maternal Mental Health, Play Therapy and 

EMDR.
