This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello! My name is Mrs. Bazaldua and I'm an elementary school bilingual special education teacher who has been in special education for 18 years now. I would love to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for my students, many of whom qualify for free or reduced lunch. I want to provide a classroom that brings them the confidence to learn and hope for success in the future! We would greatly appreciate any support to reach our donation goal that allows us to purchase fun and educational supplies that boost reading, math, and language comprehension.

These supplies are carefully chosen to address the diverse learning needs of our students.

A multiplication table game with fidget pop functionality provides a fun and engaging way to learn while also relieving stress and anxiety. The Spanish book “El Espanol es la Lengua de Mi Familia”, a story of a young boy who bonds with his grandmother who shares memories of when Spanish wasn’t allowed to be spoken in school and inspires him to make her and his family proud, would provide cultural insight and inspire my young students. Reading and comprehension practice cards and phonics kits to help sound out words would be hugely beneficial tools that assist my students in forming and perfecting their speech. Your donation will enable us to equip our classroom with these fantastic resources, guaranteeing that every child can develop essential skills and a love for learning.
