Elon Musk's girlfriend Grimes was unrecognisable in her latest snap as she showed off an unusual elf-inspired look.

The 33-year-old singer took to Instagram where she posted a series of freakish snaps that saw the star don extremely long nails, braided hair and a misted contact lens covering one of her eyeballs.

With her grey hair in chunky plaits, the star posed as she snapped up a storm.

Grimes' new look even featured pointy ears, which looked incredibly realistic.

One fan commented: "U are a real life anime character and I’m loving it."

Another said: "ok but is the single coming?"

A third penned: "Any updates on when we will get new music? Can't wait."

While another said: "ARE U EVER GONNA DROP SHINIGAMI EYES????"

Another commented on her new look and said: "Omggg can we please talk about this look?!! Your so beautiful."

This comes as the singer has said she has a "distaste" for the word mother or mama, and her son calls her by her real name.

The Canadian singer shares her son X Æ A-12 with her entrepreneur husband Elon Musk, who is the CEO of SpaceX.

Grimes and Elon welcomed their little boy into the world in May 2020, however the toddler doesn't call her mother and instead prefers to call her Claire - her real name.

The star, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, said she can't "identify" with the name mother and has a "distaste" for it - even though she respects it.

Since Grimes and Elon got together after their Twitter meeting, the couple have had their high and low moments, there has even been a rumoured breakup.
