Parkland Fuel Acquires Stores From 7-Eleven

Deal gives retailer its first sites in Wyoming

RED DEER, Alberta -- Independent marketer of fuel and petroleum products Parkland Fuel Corp. will purchase three gas stations and convenience stores in Wyoming from 7-Eleven Inc., Irving, Texas.

These sites include two truckstops and one gas station in and around Cheyenne, Wyo., in the southeast part of the state. The company expects these stations to sell a total of more than 15 million gallons of fuel a year.

“This acquisition will expand the Parkland USA presence in Wyoming by adding our first truckstops and retail stations in that state,” said Bob Espey, Parkland’s president and CEO. “We are excited to service customers at these sites under the SPF banner.”

The agreement is subject to standard closing conditions, and the companies anticipate that it will close by the end of 2016.

Parkland delivers gasoline, diesel, propane, lubricants, heating oil and other petroleum products to motorists, businesses, households and wholesale customers in Canada and the northern tier of the United States. Minot, N.D-based SPF Energy Inc. is the holding company for Superpumper Inc. and Farstad Oil Inc. Superpumper owns and operates 21 convenience stores in North Dakota, Minnesota and Montana under the SuperPumper and SPF brands. Farstad Oil supplies and distributes approximately 250 million gallons of gasoline annually.
