AICPA Foundation Awards 50 CPA Exam Scholarships

This scholarship was available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are pursuing licensure and who have some financial need; i.e. not receiving other scholarships or grants or employer reimbursement.

The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Foundation has granted scholarships to 50 CPA Exam candidates to help cover the cost of exam fees or preparatory courses.

The foundation’s CPA Exam Scholarship provides $1,500 to AICPA Student Affiliate members or AICPA CPA Exam Candidate Affiliate members in the U.S. to reimburse fees for taking the CPA Exam as well as exam preparatory courses and materials.

“We are pleased to support these young accountants on their path to becoming CPAs,” said Ernie Almonte, AICPA Foundation president. “This scholarship is an investment in the profession, and we look forward to seeing these individuals excel in their careers.”

The CPA Exam consists of four parts taken over about 18 months, and individuals must take and pass all four parts to become licensed CPAs.

This scholarship was available to U.S. citizens or permanent residents who are pursuing licensure and who have some financial need; i.e. not receiving other scholarships or grants or employer reimbursement. Applicants had to provide a copy of Notice To Schedule for at least one section of the CPA Exam and a copy of receipt for payment of exam application fees or proof of purchase of CPA Exam preparatory courses/materials.

The AICPA offers a host of annual scholarships for college students and fellowships for Ph.D. candidates. In addition, they have consolidated hundreds of accounting scholarship opportunities from third parties on their ThisWayToCPA website.
