The Chico-Leland Stanford Masonic Lodge No. 111 honored Robert Swithenbank of Chico with a pin and plaque for 50 years of membership on April 9.
Swithenbank became a master mason at the Leland Stanford Lodge No. 784 in Chico in 1969 and later served as master of the lodge in 1982. That lodge merged with the Chico Masonic Lodge in 1990.
Robert Swithenbank (center) is pictured with his brothers Gene Wilson Swithenbank (left) and Raymond Alton Swithenbank (right), who both received their 50-year pins from the Chico-Leland Stanford Masonic Lodge in 2017. Together, the three brothers represent more than 150 years of Masonry.
