Welcome, Summer 2021! It already feels much different than last summer and for that I am thankful. Going Beyond the Sermon will be different this summer as well. Below is link to a template for sermon notes that you can use until the middle of August. The instructions may sound familiar to our long-time subscribers because they were first developed by Rev. Bob Johnson, who started the Going Beyond the Sermon ministry, using his Bible S.W.A.P. method for engaging with Scripture. And that is the purpose of this ministry -- that you will engage with Scripture every week, asking God for insight into the text that applies directly to your life. Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that "Indeed, the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul from spirit, joints from marrow; it is able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."
