Why this petition matters

Started by amara roberts

Many of the student at this school owe our life to the recovery school in Seattle. Our school is under threat from those who value profit over people's lives.

The recovery school is more than just an educational institution; it's a lifeline for recovering addicts in Seattle. It offers specialized support that traditional schools can't provide, making it indispensable in our fight against addiction. It saved my life and countless others. This decision is going to kill kids. We need help and support.
Today, we are witnessing an alarming increase in substance abuse in teens.

Yet despite this urgent need, plans are underway to close down this vital resource due to financial reasons. This decision will not only disrupt the education of current students but also deprive future generations of addicts from receiving much-needed support during their recovery journey.

We cannot stand by as our needs and our futures are jeopardized. We urge local authorities and stakeholders involved to reconsider their decision and prioritize people over profits.

This is not just about reopening a school; it's about saving lives - lives like mine that were given a second chance thanks to this institution. Let us ensure that others get that same chance too.

Please sign this petition today and join us in fighting for the reestablishment of Seattle's recovery school by 2025!
