My Story

A retired psychologist and consultant, previous winery owner, mother, and grandmother, I began writing to relay our experience with toxic mold.

Along the way, I discovered a love of writing, editing, creativity, community, craft, and more. My topics vary (toxic mold, dementia, family, travel, aging, and work), but include themes of resilience and gratitude. Check out the essays from this journey!

MOLDED: A Memoir of Loss & Resilience

I began writing to relay our experience with toxic mold. Upheaval and loss. Resilience and gratitude.

After fighting mold for twenty-two months, we left everything to move our family to a drier area. We’ve been mold-free for two decades, but the experience still haunts me.

I worry about those struggling with this powerful foe. “MOLDED: A Memoir of Loss & Resilience” shines light on what it is like to fight toxic mold. I expect “MOLDED” to be available mid-August 2024.

Historical Fiction - Alice

In spite of a difficult early life marked by the death of her mother, loss of a baby sister, and absence of her father, followed by a front-row seat to the 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak in Philadelphia, Alice developed into a sweet and gentle mother, wife, and grandmother. I’m writing a research-based, fictional account of what my grandmother’s early life may have encompassed.
