If you’ve booked a JetBlue flight this year, a new report indicates there’s a good chance it will be on time.

JetBlue, Logan International Airport‘s largest carrier, is among the top 10 most punctual U.S. airlines, according Punctuality League 2022, a report released this month by U.K.-based travel analyst OAG, a provider of worldwide flight information.

JetBlue ranked No. 10 with an on-time performance (OTP) of 73.4 percent. OAG’s definition of on-time performance is flights that arrive or depart within 15 minutes of their scheduled times.

The following are the top 10 most punctual U.S. airlines and their OTP, according to OAG:

  1. Hawiaan Airlines: 89.9 percent
  2. Delta Air Lines: 88.4 percent
  3. American Airlines: 85.1 percent
  4. United Airlines: 83.5 percent
  5. Alaska Airlines: 82.6 percent
  6. Southwest Airlines: 81.2 percent
  7. Frontier Airlines: 79.8 percent
  8. Spirit Airlines: 79.4 percent
  9. Allegiant Airlines: 75.4 percent
  10. JetBlue: 73.4 percent

The following three U.S carriers also ranked among the most punctual mega airlines in the world: Delta Airlines, American Airlines, and United Airlines.

For the airlines to qualify for the ranking, OAG had to have flight status data for at least 80 percent of all scheduled flights operated by the airline.

OAG first published its Punctuality League in 2014. This year the organization released an abridged report because “airlines and airports continued to face severe challenges in 2021, with operations at a fraction of what they were pre-COVID.”
