Plaintiff was a 53 year old carpenter at the time of the accident.

DESCRIPTION OF CASE
The accident occurred during the renovation of a multistory building in Brooklyn, New York. At the time of the accident Plaintiff was a carpenter working on a scaffold. As Plaintiff was attempting to remove a pipe from the ceiling, Plaintiff fell off the scaffold to the ground below.

DAMAGES
As a result of the accident, Plaintiff suffered injuries to his head, ear, neck, low back, left shoulder, right wrist and right knee, requiring multiple surgeries.

RESULT
The jury returned an award of $5,000,000.
